The Clinical Education and Research Unit at the Nyamata Level 2 Teaching Hospital serves as a clinical training and research in Rwanda. As a Medical and academic institution, Nyamata Level 2 Teaching Hospital is equipped with highly skilled professionals and modern infrastructure, providing an exceptional environment for both clinical education and research across all stages.

The Unit mandated to coordinate and strengthen academic and Medical research while ensuring excellence in the training of healthcare professionals. It promotes a safe, patient-centered clinical learning environment and ensures that all research activities comply with ethical standards, regulations, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include fostering research engagement among staff, overseeing research governance and ethics, supporting continuous professional development, and facilitating the dissemination of research outcomes to influence policy and practice. The unit also builds strategic partnerships and collaborations at both national and international levels.
